If the ball goes bad during a one-day cricket match or if the ball is missing, then the same over-used second ball is used. In Test cricket, the ball is replaced after 80 overs. Only the umpire can decide to change the ball. In cricket, bowling is a race from both sides of the pitch, so different balls are used for each side.

Pitch

   

   There are some similar rules for the pitch in cricket. The length of a cricket pitch is 22 Guz ie 20.12 meters. And the width is 3.4 Guz ie 3.05 meters. The bowler and Batman have a distance of 19.4 Guz ie 17.68 meters. If the pitch goes bad or is unavailable to play, then the match can be concluded and it is decided by the umpire. If there is some confusion in the pitch, then the pitch can be changed with the permission of the captain of both the teams.
